100 Days of Spaceships (Completed!)

Partially as part of a class and partially for my own development/amusement, I am currently doing a ‘100 Days of Making’ challenge. Each day I must make something new.

I have chosen spaceships. One day I will create a new 3d model of a spaceship, the next I will animate it.

100 Days of Spaceships – Day 04

Today I animated the shCargo ship arriving, picking up containers, and leaving. I also learned a new word, greeble, which is the randomly scattered simple shapes that give the appearance of complex detail to a large scene. The world here has my first attempt at greebling.

100 Days of Spaceships – Day 03

I’ve spent the beginning of 2019 in Chicago, and used that as the basis of today’s spaceship. It’s a ship that carries cargo. It is called shiCargo.

Inspired by the namesake (or at least name-similar) city, this ship is meant to carry vast loads of space cargo to all the various space people that need it

100 Days of Making – Day 01

What better way to start a hundred days of spaceships than with the one that Benny (the super-enthusiastic ‘SPACESHIP!’ guy from the Lego movie) built.  In honour of Benny (and my) intense love of all things spaceship, this first craft is called “The Spaceship!”.
